Sockeye salmon retention in the Columbia is open through Sunday that again catching a sockeye is pretty much a stroke of luck. Chinook retention is closed until August 1 at buoy 10 and until September 1 upstream of the plate Oregon. Summer steelhead fishing is all but that should improve once the Columbia drops following the snow runoff.
